NEWSPAPER AGENCY COMPANY LICENSES DTI MEDIAPLUS® CIRCULATION FOR THE SALT LAKE TRIBUNE AND DESERET MORNING NEWS

Increased efficiency will allow NAC to focus on innovative retention programs and improved customer service

Salt Lake City, Utah, – June 12, 2007 –Digital Technology International, committed to supporting the future of the global news industry as a leading provider of innovative, enterprise–wide publishing software solutions, today announced that Newspaper Agency Company has agreed to license MediaPlus® Circulation, MediaPlus® List MatchPlus and MediaPlus® iServices Subscriber for The Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret Morning News. NAC expects the increased efficiencies realized by installing the new applications will reduce some of the burden on its staff, allowing them to spend more time on creative and profitable outbound activities.

MediaPlus Circulation is a comprehensive, revenue–generating system that expertly manages the entire circulation business cycle, from processing subscriber information to delivering the newspaper. The applications will be installed at NAC’s corporate location in Salt Lake City and will help the company further integrate its operations, a process that began last summer when NAC agreed to license General Ledger, Budgeting, Project Accounting, Accounts Payable, Bank Book, Purchasing, Requisitions and Inventory Management from the MediaPlus® Business solutions suite.

Kelly Roberts, NAC senior vice president of circulation, played an instrumental role in the selection of the MediaPlus solutions. “We are pleased with the results we achieved by implementing MediaPlus Business,” said Roberts. “Not only were we able to standardize our reporting, we were also able to generate comprehensive reports in less time, giving us better data for making decisions.” Roberts continued, “Even though changing systems is a big undertaking, the transition went smoothly. We’ve received tremendous support from DTI.”

Despite NAC’s satisfaction with DTI’s business solutions, the company did due diligence when selecting its new circulation system. “While we were pleased with the DTI business solutions and the service and implementation support we received, we knew it was in our best interest to consider all the leading vendors,” said Roberts, who describes NAC as a demanding organization with the need for a lot of customized data. “Right now we’re focusing all of our available resources on just getting the basics done each day. After reviewing a number of circulation systems, we think that the features that come standard in MediaPlus Circulation will allow us to be more efficient, which will let us spend more time on out–bound activities such as retention efforts and improved customer service.”

NAC is also installing iServices Subscriber, a self–service application that allows subscribers to manage their own account information online so that customer service representatives can spend more time generating new business rather than processing routine requests, as well as MediaPlus List MatchPlus, which makes it easy to upload demographic and other data for prospecting, direct marketing and more.

The Salt Lake Tribune, with a daily circulation of 133,025, and the Deseret Morning News, with a daily circulation of 72,008, are produced by NAC under a joint operating agreement. NAC performs circulation, advertising, business, production and printing functions for both newspapers, which are editorially separate. This arrangement gives readers the advantage of two perspectives on the news, while giving advertisers maximum penetration into the growing Salt Lake market.
