DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL AND FREEDOM NEWSPAPERS SIGN ENTERPRISE–WIDE AGREEMENT

Salt Lake City, – December 17, 2007 – Digital Technology International, the newspaper industry’s leading source for integrated new media business software systems, today announced a licensing agreement with the Newspapers and Interactive Divisions of Freedom Communications, Inc., to install NewsSpeed®, the DTI suite of editorial solutions, and WebSpeed®, the DTI Web publishing suite of solutions, at substantially all of the Freedom properties. This is in addition to the MediaPlus® Circulation solutions already in use across the news group. The agreement also includes options to license DTI ClassSpeed® advertising suite, making the total contract an enterprise–wide arrangement with all of the DTI solutions.

The Newspapers Division of Freedom Communications includes 33 paid dailies and 88 weeklies in 11 states, including shoppers and interactive businesses, with a combined circulation of 1.2 million subscribers.

The print publications owned by Freedom Communications are complemented by companion Web sites and interactive initiatives, which have been consistently attracting a growing audience, making the Freedom sites some of the top online destinations in their respective communities. The DTI WebSpeed® solution will be used to publish these growing online properties.

“This is an exciting project, to bring an enterprise–wide publishing solution to the Freedom Newspaper group,” said Don Oldham, CEO, DTI. “Once the installation is complete, the newspapers will run nearly all of their publishing and circulation systems through DTI, bringing a holistic, consistent environment that opens the doors for greater sharing and innovation throughout the organization.”

As the Freedom properties are brought online with the DTI system, DTI implementers will use Liquid Media to tie the new systems with existing systems until the full change to DTI is complete. Liquid Media is an innovative integration technology that enables newspapers to seamlessly share their information and creative assets throughout the enterprise and through any form of media. Through Liquid Media, newspapers can flow data into any system, existing or new, regardless of platform.
