PBS TO PRESENT NEW INTERFACE FOR ONLINE CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING AT NEXPO 2005

New interface simplifies process and promotes up–selling

Minneapolis, MN, – March 2, 2005 – Publishing Business Systems, North America’s leading source for integrated enterprise–wide newspaper business software systems, today announced that it will unveil a new, enhanced interface for iServices Order Entry, an online self–service application for classified advertisers, at the NEXPO 2005 conference in Dallas, Texas.

The newly designed iServices Order Entry interface gives classified advertisers the ability to more easily point–and–click their way through the process of placing an ad, including uploading a photo, proofreading and submitting payment, all on the newspaper’s own web site. Because this is an online application, advertisers can place ads 24 hours a day, seven days a week, even when newspaper customer service staff isn’t available.

With iServices Order Entry, newspapers have a choice of installation options. They can use the new order entry interface as–is and simply drop in their own web site branding and coloring or, because the application uses web services, newspapers can design their own order entry screens, determining fields as well as their locations and labels. Depending upon the work flow that makes the most sense, newspapers can create as many order entry screens as they want, customizing screens by classification.

To increase online revenue, the new step–by–step ad creation process automatically provides additional suggestions for ad enhancements – or up–selling – showing the advertiser a variety of ad proofs that include options such as frames and colors, in a "what you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG) format, complete with pricing. In addition to defining what will be presented in these up–selling proofs, newspapers can offer a number of extra options for the advertiser to select and preview, for example, "new listing" banners, larger headlines and more.

MediaPlus® Advertising iServices provides newspapers with an efficient way to deliver around–the–clock customer service and bring in more classified advertising revenue. Newspaper advertisers enjoy the convenience and empowerment gained online.
