BRUNSWICK NEWS INC. LICENSES PBS CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING SYSTEM

Purchase will allow integration of advertising systems for consolidated reporting

Minneapolis, MN, – March 21, 2005 – Publishing Business Systems, North America’s leading source for integrated enterprise–wide newspaper business software systems, today announced it has signed an agreement with Brunswick News Inc. of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, to install the PBS MediaPlus® Classified Advertising system in all of its daily and weekly newspapers. Brunswick News Inc. owns and operates three daily and seven weekly publications, with a combined circulation in excess of 110,000.

Brunswick News Inc. currently uses the PBS MediaPlus® Circulation system throughout its holdings, but employs a variety of classified advertising applications, along with a display advertising application from PBS. The new PBS solution will eliminate Brunswick News Inc.’s reliance on disparate systems; instead, the organization will utilize one consolidated system which will integrate its circulation, advertising and accounts receivable systems. This will give Brunswick News Inc. the ability to produce consolidated accounting and revenue reporting based on an integrated display and classified database, a key benefit to the company.

Steve Smith, PBS chief executive officer of PBS, said, "As newspapers upgrade and replace their circulation and advertising systems, choosing a solution with integration capabilities simply makes good business sense. By implementing a system that allows a single view of its customers, Brunswick News will be able to equip their call center with easy access to more information so they can manage more types of customer inquiries. They will also have the ability to share demographic information across departments for sales and marketing purposes. For example, any paper in the group can easily offer combination or package ads to a targeted list of advertising customers."

Daniel Mlodecki, Information Systems manager for Brunswick News Inc., said, "Brunswick News has been a customer of PBS for nine years. Our positive experience with PBS circulation and advertising software, and the high level of service we have received through the years, were instrumental in our decision to choose PBS to help us integrate our business systems."
