DTI launches AdSpeed® Sales Force Automation

Real time, offsite access to advertising account information for sales reps

May 23, 2005 (Newstec, Brighton, UK) Digital Technology International (DTI) today announces its new application AdSpeed® Sales Force Automation. The application runs on a smart phone – a combination mobile phone and handheld organiser device, such as the Treo. It enables advertising sales representatives to dial into the AdSpeed database at their newspaper for real–time access to a clients account information and advert booking functionality.

A time–saving tool that empowers the sales representative with up–to–date information, AdSpeed® Sales Force Automation enables sales representatives to check details of the client–s account, including other adverts that have already been booked. Communication with the client is therefore more effective as the sales representative always has the latest information about the advertiser’s account to hand.

Sales representatives can also book adverts and provide an accurate price according to the advertiser–s contract there and then. This reduces duplication of effort – before, this would have to be carried out back in the office at the end of the day. It also speeds up the advertising production process, as adverts can enter the production cycle immediately. The advertising customer is better served as the advert can be placed more quickly and with fewer interactions with the sales representatives.

Geoff Walker, managing director at DTI says: “DTI has a successful reputation for integrating systems to provide cost–effective communication and collaboration. AdSpeed® Sales Force Automation is an essential tool for sales representatives out on the road for providing crucial, up to the minute information.”

DTI’s AdSpeed® Sales Force Automation displays a series of simple–to–use screens on the handheld device and works with any smart phone that runs a browser with a phone connection.
