Implementation Specialist Expertise in application software training and project management are required. Knowledge of the newspaper industry, accounting and/or Progress a strong plus. Travel required.
Facilitates the smooth implementation of DTI software at client sites by performing the following duties:
- Performs consultation and application training in house at DTI, onsite at client's sites, and over the phone.
- Provides onsite troubleshooting.
- Uses the project plan for on-site activities to assist clients with:
- understanding DTI setup
- understanding data collection requirements for the information that cannot be converted
- development of user procedures
- conversion processing and testing
- the final system conversion for live production
- Responds to implementation and conversion concerns as they arise, and resolves system issues.
- Participates in regular conference calls with the newspaper during the implementation process to answer application questions and report on status of the installation.
Support Analyst Requires an analytical thinker with expertise in application software training. Knowledge in the newspaper industry, accounting, and/or SQL/Progress a plus.
Provides DTI customers with product support by performing the following duties:
- Trains newspaper staff to help customers use DTI products properly, via telephone and classroom.
- Advises peers and management on product development issues arising from product problems identified through application support calls with customers.
- Analyzes and resolves customer problems that arise from the use of DTI products.
- Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork.
