Register-Guard wins Best Website Award using DTI ContentPublisher
Oregon Newspapers Publishers Association Selects Register-Guard in 2009 Better Newspaper Contest
Entries in 27 categories were placed in six circulation groups. The Register-Guard was judged in the division that included the state's largest newspapers. "The Register-Guard's first-place ONPA Best Web Site award represents the collaboration of our entire staff, from reporters who start a Web story with a keystroke to our copy editors who create the site in real-time during the course of their work day," said Carl Davaz, deputy managing editor, Register-Guard. "The unified DTI ContentPublisher system makes our Web/print workflow seamless." The Register-Guard wins also include first-place awards for graphics and spot news photography as well as several second and third-place awards. "We couldn't have done it without the DTI software," said Mickey Hulse, Web content editor, Register-Guard. "We are thrilled to see the Register-Guard team recognized for their creative Web efforts in winning these awards," said Steve Nilan, vice president, marketing, DTI. "They have a well-earned reputation as Web publishing innovators who exploit the software power of DTI ContentPublisher and DTI Lightning." DTI ContentPublisher provides the Register-Guard with unlimited sharing of information and digital assets throughout their enterprise. This enables a totally integrated newsroom, improves efficiencies, and builds a collaborative publishing environment. It facilitates Web and print publishing from a single high-performance post-relational database which, amongst its many advantages, includes eliminating the need for duplicate Web and print content. |
